Verne grew out a big batch of Julio’s IcarosDNA seeds and was very pleased with them. He called them Wild Andes.
For the first few years they grew he sold potted seedlings and several times I stayed up late into the night watching eBay to buy as many as possible.
Verne saved many of his Wild Andes to plant out at his Escalon ranch and he continued to sell cuttings from the plants. After his death in 2022 most of these cactuses were moved to the Cactus Affinity farm and potted up. Now in early 2024 I will be re-planting these among their siblings at Cactus Affinity.
